There’s something magical about walking into an ordinary corporate office in the morning with it’s gray carpet, fluorescent lights, glass conference rooms, and watching it slowly transform into a full on corporate office green screen video studio.

That’s what happened on a recent Provid Films shoot.

What began as a standard meeting space in a modern open concept office building, became a professional green screen studio worthy of any broadcast set.

We arrived early. 6:30am Early.

So early that there was only one executive down the hall while our crew unloaded lighting cases, cameras, and stands.

Piece by piece, we began moving chairs, tables, and making space for our temporary studio space in what was otherwise their flex space.

Fluorescent overheads were turned off, replaced by soft LED video lights.

We brought in black duvetyne to cover the windows so we weren’t fighting the ever changing sun and clouds, we put up moving blankets to isolate and quiet the sound even more, and gaff tape tidying up our cables along the floor in perfectly neat lines.

When the first executive walked in, he stopped mid-sentence.
“Wow… this like a real studio in our office!”

That moment never gets old.

There’s a quiet pride that happens when people see their familiar environment reimagined into a full studio.

The conference table that once hosted budget meetings now neatly tucked behind our green screen just off-frame, replaced by a sea of controlled light, calibrated color, and the hum of everyone making things happen.

Let’s turn this space into a corporate office green screen studio

Green screen shoots require precision — every light, every reflection, every shadow matters.

We balanced three-point lighting setups for clean keying while ensuring flattering skin tones for the talent. With another 6 lights on the background to uniformly light it for an easy key.

At the end of the day, and with nearly 15 years of experience – the goal wasn’t just technical perfection – that’s the easy part; it was to make the executives feel confident, comfortable, and camera-ready.

As the 3 different camera angles rolled, something subtle shifted. The executives, who just an hour earlier were flipping through emails, now carried themselves differently.

Shoulders back. Eyes alive. They weren’t just reading lines into a camera – they were delivering messages, communicating their company’s mission with conviction.

They were talking about the future financial projections with a sense of confidence.

This was changing from just another investor day for New York, it was them seeing the future.

Between takes, I stepped back toward the window.

Outside, the city moved as usual.

Nothing had changed.

Inside, we had built a small world of our own – an island of creativity in the middle of a corporate landscape.

That contrast hit me.

Video production isn’t just about cameras or lighting; it’s about transformation.

Taking something familiar and revealing its potential is the fun part

Whether it’s an office, a warehouse, a flex room or a boardroom – really any space can become a stage when you bring vision, intention, and a camera crew dedicated to their craft.

By the end of the day, the executives gathered around the monitor to watch playback.

They were snapping selfies and asking for us to get BTS shots to send to their wife or kids about their fun day “at the office” – because to them – this wasn’t just another day.

It was full of Smiles. Laughs. A little disbelief.

“I can’t believe you built this entire studio in here” one of them said.

That’s the beauty of it.

Great corporate video production companies don’t always need a Hollywood studio – we just need the right team, with the knowledge, experience and the right tools, and a willingness to see beyond the ordinary.

And with enough coffee and breakfast sandwiches, anything is possible.

Immediately after we wrapped filming and loading out – the gaffer brought our DP Travis back to the airport to fly home.

All in a day’s work.

At Provid Films, that’s what we love most: helping companies see their own story in a new light – sometimes quite literally.

As a bit of a sidenote – this green screen studio project reminded me of another day with a white seamless backdrop / portable studio in a hotel which was turned into a Vlog.

Note this is from a different project that was smaller – but it does bring you BTS on a shoot. 🙂
